Of all of Neil my son’s friends, Richard ( Pob) was always my favourite. He was always pleasant and polite and didn’t lead Neil astray, he was the sort of young man that any parent would have been proud of. I have not seen him for many years but my sons have kept me in touch with what Pob was doing, and l last saw him on the stage at Glastonbury looking much the same as he always did. Since l heard the news of his death l have felt an overwhelming sadness. Such a dreadful loss, taken long before his time. My thoughts and prayers are with those who loved him, and may you take some comfort from the wonderful tributes that have been paid to him.
