20 years ago, I met Richard in a bar in Montreal. We drank beer and talked the night away. He said he worked for Radiohead and would give me tickets to the show, and I thought he was putting me on. You can guess how this story turned out. I didn’t know him well, but it says something about the kind of person he is to be bringing a random stranger so much joy.
