Richard... I can't quite remember which tour you first joined us on, but I seem to remember you were the cherubic faced PA Tech with Jim Parsons.. you looked about 12 years old and you hadn't eaten all the pies then!.... I reckon it must have been around the time of the Bends.. always smiling and positive.. and VERY knowledgable.. Each time we came out for another album tour, you were taking on a bigger role, until finally you became our production manager. I remember when you got behind our scheme to take a generator around with us in an effort to lighten the carbon footprint of the In Rainbows tour... you went deep into the cause. To us, the Turn, you seemed unflappable .. always up for anything we were thinking of doing, but always pragmatic, and quite prepared to give us the truth.. You were also the Production Manager when the stage collapsed in Toronto, killing Scott, injuring others and scarring so many of our touring family... I'm not sure how you were able to deal with that tragedy. It was an incredibly tough job that you had to do and also to pick up the pieces and continue that tour a couple of months later, with the same design and the ghosts of that day with us at every show. Thank you for everything you did for Radiohead.... it's not an easy gig to be a Production Manager I reckon, and judging from some of these posts you definitely didn't flinch from the difficult questions and exchanges! You have, of course, gone far too young.. Sending love and warmth to your family.. Thanks Big Boots .. Big Love ED O'Brien
